I posted on the People For the American Way blog about the an awesome project happening at Change.org. Change.org is running a great contest to get ideas for real change and innovation from the public and presenting some of the best ones to the Obama transition team. As we've seen, the Obama transition team is very open to citizen input and as its eye turned toward innovative approaches to current and future challenges. It's encouraging. Here's a great way for YOU to participate.

PROTECT Act. (Why we need to get rid of obscenity laws part 2)

I may be a huge comic book fan, and this is not to trash any fans out there, but I really despise Manga. I depise the following they have, yet my precious Daredevil, Spider Man and Iron Man get labeled as "kid's stuff" or "geeky".

Why I will let my children read porn (or why we need to get rid of Obscenity Laws Part 1)

Last semester the ACLU of IL took out space for our chapter to have a "free speech" corner in our school newspaper.

I wrote a tiny piece about why I would let my children read porn.

Not kidding

I am a die hard comic book fan. Growing up in a cop family--well justice is always been a part of my life. (kinda makes sense why I am such a fan of the Daredevil comic).

30giri.xlarge1.jpg"This was not terror — not as Indians understood it. This was war. The killers stormed the streets of Mumbai, India’s financial capital, with machine guns and bags of grenades. They did not strike with the terrorist’s fleeting anonymity. Their work was fastidiously deliberate. It went into a second day, then a third. They took time to ask your nationality and vocation. Then they spared you, or herded you elsewhere, or shot you in the back of your skull." --NYT
